The Beginning
For all the NYC caps and t-shirts that are being sold, you do not see many people wearing them on the streets of NYC. Maybe the giftees wear them back at at wherever the tourists come from.
The Rube has a Sanibel Island sweatshirt a friend gave him. Once when he was wearing it someone yelled "Hey Sanibel!" and it took him a minute to figure out they meant him. And then the guy wanted to talk about how great Sanibel was and the Rube could only say he heard it was indeed quite nice.
