Notes by the Rube: The Rube has collected a few photos of these Medusas spandrels of the Crown Building. He chose this one because he has come to feel that including the thing that is the most opposite to being gilded -- the out-of-focus scaffolding -- helps to make the gilding seem even more gilded.

He has yet to take a picture of the actual Crown that does it justice, so instead, jpg-2 and 3 are some other unique details of this building.
