1928-29, Gronenberg & Leuchtag. Today's building (portrait view) is just around the corner of Washington Square Park from Judson Memorial Church. It shows another terra-cotta style: brightly colored as in a coloring book. The beltcourses near the bottom of the picture might be taking for copper that has gone green, but are also terra cotta. We'd like to see someone have the moxie to do an entire building with "crayola-cotta" like this, instead of using just for a couple of accents as here. They would have to have clients like the witch from Hansel and Gretel.
