This was one of first pictures the Rube took with his new Canon Digital Rebel camera -- initially he was disappointed with the camera as a lot of shots were out of focus. At least in this shot it somehow knew the right person to focus on -- Al Roker, walking towards us on the left! (and now that the Rube has learned to pay attention to those flashing red lights in the camera viewfinder are trying to tell him, he just loves his Rebel!)

The NBC Rockefeller Center studio (in context) was a tremendously good idea and still attracts bigger crowds then any of the others in the area -- one reason is just that the Rockefeller Center plaza is just a great place to hang out in.
