Notes (Roving Rube): The ghostly, reflected face of one of the Rube's coworkers lends a certain Dali-esque peculiarity to this evening's spectacular sunset over the Hudson River (New Jersey is on the horizon).

The crane marks yet another new residential tower going up on the West side -- two of the towers at center have just recently been completed.

The Rube was disappointed in some of the unpleasant "banding" (rough transitions between shades of color) that he originally saw in this picture; then he discovered that switching his monitor to "True" (24-bit) color from "High" (16-bit) color made it go away; in fact, he now strongly suspects that having done this will make all his old pictures look better too! You'd think after working in the Graphics department for 10 years he'd have figured this out already -- but maybe it's due to working on a PC instead of a Mac.

In any case older PCs, even though they say they can do it, may not be real happy about having to show you to True Color in addition to all the other "real" work they have to do, so proceed with caution!
