Notes (Roving Rube): Today was the day the Rube got his new 4-megapixel Canon Powershot G2 Camera. As soon as the battery was charged, recklessly not even waiting to figure out how to attach the neck strap, and reading just enough to be able turn the camera on and work the "zoom" lever, he made a beeline to Bryant Park. He had to see how the camera would do with the weird creatures on the building near there.

He had gotten an add-on telephoto lens and eventually a tripod for his 2-megapixel Kodak DC290 to try to be able to see details like this around the city. The Alternate View shows his best shot at these creatures with the Kodak.

The In Context view shows the G2 version: eagles, yes, some on the higher ledge too that he hadn't noticed ... and the other ... winged cats?
