Theme: "Bridges"

Dave "the Bridge Man" Frieder has graciously allowed us to present these photos as an inspiration for this series, although we STRICTLY FORBID any of our photographers from trying to emulate this perspective!

Mr. Frieder has climbed fifteen of New York's bridges since 1993, working with the Port Authority, Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority, Amtrak, and the NYC Depts. of Housing and Transportation.

He will be giving a lecture on Monday, March 24th, 7:30 pm, at the Roosevelt Island Historical Society, featuring many of his prints and color slides, and with a special emphasis on the Queensborough Bridge. Details and directions can be found here. (We will grant one exception to the above prohibition above to those who take the tram over to Roosevelt Island -- it does offer spectacular views of the Queensborough Bridge.)
