Tara also supplied two "portrait" (vertically-oriented) shots of this subject. We haven't figured out how to integrate portrait shots into our format yet -- as an experiment we tried pairing them as in Fig. 1. Then the leftover white space didn't look right, either in the center or on the left, so we came up with the gradient band which kind of looks like little strips of packing tape. Design ideas welcomed!
