Every element of classical decoration does have a name, and the Rube has picked out several of the easier ones to remember in the Detail View (#1 above): 1) Dentils a row of small square stones that look like teeth; 2) Egg-and-Dart the darts are the little arrows (the heads are hard to see here) between the eggs; and 3) Necking in between the bottle and the cap! |
