Nutcracker, Midtown Sixth Avenue
Theme: Holiday Sights. Notes by Mark Lentz. These Nutcrackers are another long-standing Sixth Avenue Corporate Row* tradition. The yellow ribbon was to keep people away from the base of the building, where snow from yesterday's blizzard was falling off the sides. See also: Nutcrackers on my pBase site. _____________________ *We define Corporate Row as the stretch of skyscrapers from 44th through the mid-50s, on the west side, created by urban renewal in the 1960's and 70's.
