Theme: "Spring Flowers"

All trees bloom; it's just that some don't make such a big thing over it. Swamp red maples acquire a reddish fringe at this time of year (In Context) which closer inspection reveals to be small red flowers.

The other Figures (all taken two days ago) show early-blooming crocus (as opposed to the bigger kind which blossoms a little later, and the late-blooming crocus which bloom even later -- and there is even a fall-blooming crocus, we believe) and snowdrops. All of these kick off the Parade of Spring Flowers, which we hope to bring you continuing coverage in the next two months, as the Rube is looking for an excuse to spend more time outdoors.
