There may have been a photographer who photographed the Rube photographing these photographers, and another behind him ... The Rube was the least-professional looking of the bunch, holding his umbrella in one hand and what appeared to be a large baggie (inside was the camera) to his face with the other. He's not sure now how he managed to use the viewfinder through the plastic.

The Mall is the longest straight axis in the Park and terminates (if you turned around and walked the other way) with a view of the Angel Bethesda.

One of the Rube's friend sent him a nice Christmas card that was black and white except for a cardinal; Figure 3 is in imitation of that idea.
