Another holiday tradition in Dyker Heights is to fill up the windows with welcoming figures -- there is one corner house entirely populated by Santas, some of them life-size. Porcelain dolls (Fig. 1) are another favorite. Often gold or silver tinsel curtains are used as a backing screen (Fig. 2). Some even block off their own front doors for the duration with a display (Fig. 3).
